Below is an interesting part of a fiction novel I'm reading. A profound distinction about history that I liked. History is about choices and being in a certain place at a certain time. I pray that my life will show I made the choices that made a good difference in whatever history I can affect.
"Evolution is a matter of environment and chance, acting over millions of years. But history is a matter of environment and choice, acting within lifetimes, and sometimes within years, or months, or days!" (Robinson 88, Red Mars).
